Heat shrink sleeves / through connectors are a great way to joining cables without the need for crimping. Simply twist the two cables together and slide this sleeve over your join, positioning the solder ring over the wire join. Apply heat with a heat gun to shrink the tubing down and melt the solder ring to provide a waterproof (IP67) connection.
